The four best racing games I can think of

I think racing games are crap. Every Need for Speed game I’ve ever played has been awful, games like Formula 1 and Gran Turismo bore me stiff, and the only thing crazy about Crazy Taxi was that they somehow had found the gall to demand money for it.

It’s gotten to the point where it’s ruined my enjoyment of okay racers, like Trackmania and Burnout. I just don’t get the big idea of pissing about in a circle through random checkpoints, and maybe that’s because I think of a car as a machine with wheels and not a mechanical substitute for a spouse, but I don’t give a fuck.

That said, here are four racing games I’ve played in my life that I really, really like. No, no reason.
